On a warm morning in the vivid hallways of CHRIST Junior College, Ms Roshni Rajagopal set out on a life-changing adventure in 2013. She had no idea that her choice to join CHRIST would influence not just her course of study but also the experiences that would eventually form the intricate mosaic of her life. For Ms. Roshni, the attraction to CHRIST was much more than just intellectual; it began with the reassuring embrace of familiarity. Having a sibling wear the valedictory gown of CHRIST, she found a beacon that guided her towards this educational haven. "If one gets into CJC, they are considered a bigshot," she laughs, remembering her early aspirations. She had no idea that this declaration would serve as both a tribute to the institution's standing and the beginning of a deep bond that would develop over time.

As Ms. Roshni transitioned from Pre University in 2013 to a diverse Undergraduate program in Journalism, Psychology, and English, she discovered that CHRIST was where academic pursuits amalgamated seamlessly with personal passions. She chose to pursue a triple major at CHRIST because of her innate interest in psychology and journalism as well as the university's distinctive offerings. "I got so comfortable and liked it so much here that I knew I wanted to pursue my Masters here itself," she reflects. She was enthralled not just by the lectures but also by the lively culture of activities and encounters that took place inside the institution. Magnificat and similar events opened her eyes to the top echelons of the university's throbbing vitality. She acknowledges that "I broke out of my shell in CHRIST," which is evidence of the supportive atmosphere that fosters self-awareness and personal development.

A key interaction was with the esteemed professor Dr. Suparna Naresh. Her passionate description of the Media department sparked Ms. Roshni's interest in media journalism. These exchanges throughout her pre-university years laid the groundwork for her future academic endeavours. Uncertain of her precise trajectory in the huge world of media, a visit with the Department Head, Dr. Padmakumar M. M., turned into a turning point. She began to see that Mass Media and Communication Studies was her vocation, which paved the way for more exploration of her area of interest.

For Ms. Roshni, CHRIST was not just a place, but also a place where she could test her abilities and grow into a well-rounded person. Through the maze of deadlines, club obligations, and event planning, the trip turned into a master class in time management. She stresses that discipline has evolved into the cornerstone of a fruitful life. By convocation day, the coveted "Graduate Attributes" that the university had promised were more than just idealistic qualities; they were actual parts of her personality. On the verge of a new chapter, Ms. Roshni recognised the traits CHRIST had given her: self-assurance, adaptability, and tolerance. These traits went beyond the classroom and equipped her for whatever obstacles life would inevitably present.

The Media Department at CHRIST has state-of-the-art technology and a welcoming Media Lab, giving the institution an edge over others. She was able to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations through six internships spread over five years, and the faculty's constant support during her career setbacks became a pillar of her academic path. Ms. Roshni was able to use her media abilities to make a difference at the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology thanks to a unique curriculum component called Service Learning. She also remembered clearly how the institution, as part of its programme, sent her on a cave exploration trip in Somanahalli, where she got her spectacles trapped during a fall below ground. UG introduced the joyful cadence of the Cultural Team and the CHRIST University Choir. Representing the university at esteemed establishments such as Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology and IIT Madras turned into treasured recollections, with every stride and tone capturing the spirit of CHRIST's cultural vitality. A fairly ordinary Photojournalism assignment in PG turned into an unforgettable journey to Kolar Goldfield, leaving memories that persisted long after the homework was over.

Now, Ms. Roshni finds herself on the other end of the academic spectrum as the Secretary of the Media Department at the CHRIST central campus, where she has held the position since August 2023. She has a deeper regard for the faculty's devotion because of her job, which gives her insights into their hard work and dedication. "Having a different understanding of the faculty has made my respect for them go even higher," she says.

The story of Ms. Roshni is evidence of the life-changing potential of education at CHRIST; it is a journey that goes beyond textbooks and classrooms, creating an intricate symphony of learning, development, and self-discovery. She not only discovered a place to study but also lifetime companions in the mystical corridors of CHRIST, who helped her in her quest for education and self-actualization.
